Their last collaboration, Thalapathi, based on the Mahabharata, remains a cinematic classic featuring Mammootty and Arvind Swamy. Ratnam is now gearing up for Thug Life, a gritty gangster drama starring Kamal Haasan, STR, and Trisha. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is set to return to the big screen with Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, releasing August 14, 2025.
