Ankush Hazra, Oindrila Sen, as well as Payel Sarkar feature in Magic, a 2021 Indian Bengali-language psychological thriller movie directed by Raja Chanda and produced by Suman Sengupta.

Magic spends a lot of time with the main protagonists enjoying their relationship.
But, as we quickly realise, the love tale, with all its frills and candy colouring, is really a ruse. There are hints of a darker theme mixed along with the thrills, and the intermission comes with a promising twist to the storey.
After that, the actual narrative begins to unfold.
The movie is staged like a magic show, with plenty of drama, thrills, suspense, and social consciousness. Whereas the majority of it is seamlessly weaved into the storey, you will wish for more consistency.
You’re taken off guard by the exchange of incompetent phrases before you can clap for a fantastic sequence. Magic also lacks the gripping tension of a thriller.
Ankush and Oindrila are well-styled in the movie, and they go from a light, romantic sequence to a serious drama scene with ease. The better discourse would have aided their performance significantly.
