Low budget robbery action movie where the lead character is named Cash

Cash

Anubhav Sinha helmed Cash, a 2007 Indian Hindi-language action thriller movie. Ajay Devgn, Suniel Shetty, Ritesh Deshmukh, Zayed Khan, Esha Deol, Shamita Shetty, as well as Dia Mirza play the leading characters inside the movie. On August 3, 2007, the movie was released.

On such an aeroplane, Dhananjay “Danny” Jhumbevalkar, alias DJ (Zayed Khan), meets Rhea, whose true name is Preeti (Ayesha Takia). They become fast friends. Danny starts telling a storey about such a diamond. This is really a re-telling of a storey from his past. He tells her about just a diamond unearthed in 1836 by a South Indian miner.

This diamond was given to the monarch by the miner. The diamond was later given to a British viceroy by the monarch, however the viceroy’s ship was sunk during a sea trip to Britain. A fisherman discovered the diamond following 100 years and delivered that to his master. It was broken into three pieces by the master and given to his three sons. One son lost his diamonds gambling, another to a general, and the third brother lost his diamonds when he was assassinated. Two of the three gems were found and placed in a Belgian museum in 1994. Until a Gujarati diamond trader called a South African high commission security manager named Shanaya, no one knew where the third diamond was.

Bollywood Hungama’s Taran Adarsh gave the film a 2 out of 5 rating, stating “CASH has a lot of style, but that’s based on a shallow storyline, which is its main problem. The picture may draw audiences in its first weekend there at box office, but a bad storyline will put a wrench inside the works “.. “Cash might have been a ride — if only they paid half quite so much attention towards the screenplay as they did to the title song,” said Raja Sen of Rediff.com, who scored the film 1.5 out of 5 stars. The New York Times’ Andy Webster gave the movie a bad review, writing “Despite its allure, cash leaves you hungry. Maybe not much longer.”
