Kabir Singh’s filming began started in October 2018 as well as finished in March 2019. The movie was released in India on June 21, 2019, to mixed reviews, while also criticising this for glamorising sexism and toxic masculinity, others praising Kapoor’s performance as well as the music. It has become the second most earning Bollywood movie of 2019 and Kapoor’s top-grossing solo-led movie, collecting almost 380 crores.

Mithoon, Amaal Mallik, Vishal Mishra, Sachet–Parampara (a duet consisting of Sachet Tandon and Parampara Thakur) and Akhil Sachdeva wrote the music, which also has lyrics by Irshad Kamil, Manoj Muntashir, Kumaar, and Mithoon.

Kabir Singh has become the first Bollywood movie to get its own theatre, in a first-of-its-kind marketing arrangement. Quite so many as 15 PVR theatres in 15 locations across India will be renamed “Kabir Singh Ka Theatre,” with auditoriums designed to match the traits of Kapoor’s titular character.

Kabir Singh was released on 3616 screens globally on June 21, 2019, with 3123 screens in India. Throughout India, it is released by AA Films. After the Pulwama assault in Pakistan in 2019, Khetani decided not to distribute the movie in Pakistan. The Central Board of Picture Certification gave the film an ‘A’ (adults only) rating (CBFC).
