Jailer 2 is now the second biggest Tamil dubbed film in Hindi with Rs 34 crore nett, and Rajinikanth owns four of the top five spots.
Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 has become the second-highest-grossing Tamil dubbed film in Hindi, with a running cume of Rs 34 crore nett. The Nelson Dilipkumar directorial added Rs 6.75 crore in its second weekend and moved past the lifetime Hindi totals of Coolie (Rs 33 crore) and Leo (Rs 28.50 crore).
The ranking is more striking because Jailer 2 did not release in the national chains, the multiplex circuits that usually drive a film’s biggest Hindi collections. A full-fledged release, trade estimates suggest, could have lifted the total by 20 to 30 per cent.

Dubbed films often depend on single screens and smaller centres, but Jailer 2 has been posting numbers that feel closer to a mainstream Hindi release. For comparison, Coolie and Leo were considered strong Hindi performers, yet Jailer 2 passed both by its second weekend. That speed shows how quickly the latest Rajinikanth release converted a strong opening into a sustained run.
The performance also carries a larger signal: a Tamil star’s dubbed Hindi audience can no longer be treated as a niche. When a title connects, its collections behave like a mainstream Hindi release even with a restricted chain footprint.
