Guddu Dhanoa helmed the 1995 Bollywood action movie Gundaraj. Ajay Devgn, Kajol, alongside Amrish Puri feature in the film. The movie was released in Mumbai on September 8, 1995.
The synopsis of the movie ‘Gundaraj’ states that-
Ajay Chauhan has a younger sister as well as resides alongside his folks. He adores Pooja and dreams of marrying her one day. His dad desires that he obtains a job, calm down a bit, and eventually marry. After applying for a job in Bombay, Ajay gets a letter inviting him to that interview. He shows up for an interview and gets picked.
He comes to praise God for making all of his goals come true, so it’s there that a lady called Pratika Jaitley discovers him as well as informs the authorities because he’s the one that viciously assaulted three young ladies on the a college campus. Despite Ajay’s strong denials, he has been personally recognised, charged with a crime, convicted, as well as sentenced to jail time.
After being freed after prison for over several years, he discovers out his dad and Pooja had tried to commit suicide, whereas his sister and mother have gone missing. He goes out to rebuild his career and encounters such a harsh police inspector whose daughter has been a victim of sexual assault. Then that is what Ajay discovers the scheme is behind an attempt to portray himself.
Rahat Indori, Zameer Kazmi, Zafar Gorakhpuri, and Shyam Anuragi wrote the lyrics.
Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Alisha Chinai, Sadhana Sargam, and Bali Brahmabhatt are among the singers whereas it was Anu Malik’s music.
Audience Review-
Gundaraj is a good film, although the screenplay is a bit sloppy. The film becomes disjointed towards the middle. Amrish puri can be observed on occasion and not on others. The songs are good. The storey is good, but the writing is terrible. It becomes a little tedious towards the middle. Why is Kajol interested in Ajay despite the fact that he is a criminal who has served seven years in prison? She has a collection of his posters at her house. In court, there was no one from Ajay Devgan’s party to support him. He doesn’t have a lawyer on his side. Why is that? I’m not sure. In one scenario, Ajay is approached by Amrish Puri, who asks him where he came from. Why does a cop question, anyone? Why is he so concerned about him?
