Soorarai Pottru, the Hindi version of the Tamil hit, has always been in the headlines of people for a very long time. Earlier rumours said that big Bollywood performers such as Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan, John Abraham, as well as Akshay Kumar were being considered for the main part.
The starring man for the picture has now been cast, according to recent media sources. As per rumours, Akshay Kumar has eventually been cast in the starring role, which was previously played by Suriya in the original. The actor has been in negotiations with the producers since last year, according to reports. He had given his verbal approval a long time ago but had just lately signed on the dotted line.
The Hindi adaptation of Soorarai Pottru would very certainly be situated in North India. The original Tamil director of the film, Sudha Kongara Prasad, would also helm the Bollywood version. Aside from just that, sources claim that now the movie would begin production after Akshay finishes filming his recently announced flick Selfiee alongside Emraan Hashmi.
According to the latest news from Spotboye, Akshay Kumar has been cast in the drama action biopic as Suriya’s character Nedumaaran Rajangam. The film is based on the storey of GR Gopinath, an Indian businessman and aviation pilot who aspired to make air travel in India more cheap without sacrificing safety or enjoyment. He is also a former Indian Air Force captain and is known as Maara.
Bollywood Hungama claimed earlier this year that the producers had approached Shahid Kapoor for the starring role. However, the actor sought exorbitant payments as well as a profit stake in the film, prompting the producers to replace him with Akshay Kumar.
