Drishyam 3 hits ₹479 crore worldwide in 10 days
Ajay Devgn's Drishyam 3 has crossed Border 2's lifetime worldwide haul within ten days, becoming the second-highest grosser of 2026 so far.

Ajay Devgn’s Vijay Salgaonkar has turned the final chapter of the Drishyam saga into one of the defining box-office stories of 2026. Ten days after release, Drishyam 3 (also billed as Drishyam The Conclusion) has collected ₹479 crore worldwide, according to Sacnilk trade figures cited by Hindustan Times. That is enough to pass the lifetime worldwide hauls of Border 2 (₹450 crore) and Hanuman Ansh (₹435 crore).
The milestone makes the Abhishek Pathak-directed thriller the second-highest-grossing film of 2026 so far. The only title ahead of it is Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar The Revenge at ₹1,813 crore worldwide. For Ajay Devgn, this is now the biggest theatrical hit of his career.
How the numbers stack up
The film opened with ₹176.50 crore net in India, which trade sources rank as the seventh-highest opening weekend for a Hindi release. To put that in context, the start landed close to Sultan and above the opening weekends of War and Tiger 3. The more meaningful story is what happened after the first weekend.
- First week India net: ₹245 crore
- Second Friday: ₹14.50 crore
- Second weekend: ₹49 crore
- Domestic net after 10 days: ₹309 crore
- Overseas gross: ₹109 crore
- Worldwide gross: ₹479 crore
That second-weekend number matters. Instead of collapsing after a big opening, Drishyam 3 is holding strongly enough to put the ₹500 crore worldwide mark in reach. The overseas contribution has been steadier rather than spectacular at ₹109 crore gross, which makes the domestic audience the main engine of this milestone.
Why the final-chapter angle is working
The Drishyam series has always sold tension rather than scale. This instalment begins six months after Drishyam 2, with Vijay and his family still living under the old murder case. Officer Rajveer reopens the cold case and hunts for fresh DNA or physical proof beneath the police station where the body was hidden. What follows is a courtroom and investigative face-off designed to give the franchise a definitive full stop.
That promise of closure is doing commercial work. Audiences are treating a conclusion as an event rather than another sequel, which helps explain the steady weekday business and the strong second-weekend hold.
What to do if you have not watched yet
Because this is the final chapter, the ending will travel quickly on social media. If you plan to experience the legal showdown without spoilers, the next few days are the safest window. A rewatch of the first two films will help the callbacks land, especially the details around the hidden evidence and the family’s cover story.
