Normal life is affected if the number of Coronavirus cases rises, and this is especially true in the Bollywood business. To stop the virus from spreading, governments are quickly shutting down theatres or limiting their operating hours. Even the filming process is hampered since, as is customary, the regulations prohibit shooting at night or with a big number of individuals present at the same time. Many film shootings have been hampered in the previous two years as a result of such laws. The film Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji, has been frequently postponed owing of the Covid-19 waves.

It has now been revealed that the Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer is still being filmed. According to a storey in an entertainment daily a few days ago, Brahmastra’s shoot was planned to take place in Varanasi in December, according to a line producer named Rati Shankar Tripathi. However, due to an increase in cases, it was postponed until January and was scheduled to take place in Mumbai. However, when cases in the Maximum City spiralled out of control, the shoot was put back indefinitely.

Rati Shankar Tripathi stated to this reporter that Covid-19 and the election season had hampered the shooting of Brahmastra and many other films in Uttar Pradesh.

He did clarify, though, that the majority of the film’s shooting is over and that just a patchwork shot remains, which should be completed in a matter of days. He also disclosed that the Brahmastra filmmakers are once again considering filming in Varanasi, which would take place in February.

Brahmastra debuted on floors four years ago, in February of 2018. To put it another way, the picture will not enter its fifth year of production.

The filming of Brahmastra has been continuously postponed owing to a variety of factors. The shoot was cancelled in March-April 2021 after Ranbir Kapoor tested positive. Alia Bhatt was also afflicted a few days later.

The filmmakers also wanted to shoot an elaborate song with a large number of junior artists, but they couldn’t do so for a long time since movie shootings are not permitted to be crowded as part of Covid-prevention efforts.

Aside from Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Brahmastra also features Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna, as well as a cameo appearance by Shah Rukh Khan. In December, the movie’s creators unveiled an amazing motion poster in front of a sold-out stadium in Delhi. The film’s release date has also been revealed: September 9, 2022. With so many films being delayed as a result of the third wave, it’s unclear whether Brahmastra will be released on the scheduled date or whether it will be postponed.
