S. S. Rajamouli helmed Baahubali: The Beginning, which was produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni underneath the banner Arka Media Works. Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil, the film features an ensemble cast including Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishna, Sathyaraj, and Nassar. The movie features Shivudu / Shiva, an adventurous young man who assists his love Avanthika in rescuing Devasena, the previous queen of Mahishmati who is still imprisoned there under the oppressive authority of king Bhallaladeva. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion brings the tale to a close.

Rajamouli’s father, K. V. Vijayendra Prasad, came up with the idea for the movie after hearing a tale regarding Sivagami, a lady who holds a baby in her hand after crossing a river, and several years later regarding Kattappa, that piqued Rajamouli’s interest. His interest inside the storey was piqued by his passion for mythology as well as the Amar Chitra Katha comics. The final manuscript, nevertheless, required the writers three months to finish. M. M. Keeravani created the music and ambient score, whereas K. K. Senthil Kumar, Sabu Cyril, and V. Srinivas Mohan supervised cinematography, production design, among visual effects, correspondingly.

The movie had a budget of 180 crores when it was released, making this the most costly Indian movie there at moment. The movie, which also has dubbed versions in Hindi as well as Malayalam, was released globally on July 10, 2015, to critical praise and box office success. It was the highest-grossing Motion picture, the third-highest-grossing Indian movie globally, as well as the highest-grossing South Indian movie there at the time it was released, with such a worldwide box office total of 586.45 crores. M. M. Keeravani, Rajamouli’s cousin, wrote the music and soundtrack for such a movie, while Kalyan Koduri oversaw the audio. The Tamil version’s music was released on 7 June 2015, whereas the Hindi, as well as Malayalam versions’ soundtracks, got released on 21 June and 1 July, correspondingly.
