S. S. Rajamouli helmed Baahubali: The Beginning, which was produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni underneath the banner Arka Media Works. Rajamouli’s father, K. V. Vijayendra Prasad, came up with the idea for the movie after hearing a tale regarding Sivagami, a lady who holds a baby in her hand after crossing a river, and several years later regarding Kattappa, that piqued Rajamouli’s interest.
