Arasan Promo Now Eyeing December 4 Release With Train
Arasan's eight-minute promo may now land December 4 with Vijay Sethupathi's Train as the team waits for Anirudh's background score.
Silambarasan TR’s Arasan is likely to skip its Diwali reveal window and arrive later than planned. According to PINKVILLA, the promo is now being considered for a December 4, 2026 drop alongside Vijay Sethupathi’s Train.
The hold-up is in the music
The cast’s dubbing work is already complete. Silambarasan TR, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Andrea Jeremiah, Samuthirakani and Kishore have finished their portions, and director Vetrimaaran has recorded the voice-over that sets up the story and its link to the Vada Chennai universe.
What’s pending is Anirudh Ravichander’s background score. The team has reportedly waited for the composer over the past week, but with his wedding scheduled this month, the makers are conscious of his other commitments and do not want to disturb him.
Producer Kalaippuli S Thanu suggested using the background score from an earlier promo so the release could go ahead. Vetrimaaran and Silambarasan TR, however, preferred to wait for Anirudh’s original score to keep the promo’s intended impact.
The new window: December 4 with Train
The team is now looking at releasing the eight-minute promo around Train, the Mysskin directorial also produced by Thanu, which is slated for December 4, 2026. Sandeep Reddy Vanga is expected to feature in the promo, though an official confirmation is still awaited.
Waiting for the original score is the kind of call that protects the first impression of a film. For Arasan, that is especially important because the film is a spin-off of Dhanush’s Vada Chennai; the promo is the first real opportunity to connect the two worlds for fans.
