The trailer of ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ released recently, and Ankita Lokhande’s fans can’t stop raving about the actress’ look in it. Ankita is seen playing the famous revolutionary Vinayak Damodar Savarkar’s wife Yamunabai in the film, which features Randeep Hooda in the lead role. Taking to social media account, a fan wrote, “Ankita slaying her patriotic look”. While another mentioned, “Our versatile actress Ankita Lokhande doing justice with the character. So excited for her movie.”
Another fan mentioned how Ankita’s portrayal of Yamunabai is “impressive” and “heart touching”. She added how the role belongs to Ankita. “I’m sure this is going to be so effective performance of yours. Waiting like anything to see you on big screen again,” the comment further read.
Talking about the role, Ankita tagged Yamunabai as a strong woman. “When my look was being discussed, Randeep clearly mentioned that he didn’t want any kind of make-up on me. He wanted me to be raw and rugged, just like how Yamunabai was. That also helped me in performing and enhancing the role while playing it,” she shared.
‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ marks Randeep Hooda’s directorial debut. The film will release on March 22.
