The movie franchise American Pie consists of four erotic comedy movies. Universal Pictures released the first movie in the franchise, American Pie, in 1999. The movie went on to become a worldwide pop culture sensation with a loyal following among teenagers. Following American Pie, the sequels American Pie 2 (2001), as well as American Wedding (2003), were released, followed by the fourth feature, American Reunion, in 2012. American Pie Presents is indeed a spin-off movie franchise that consists of five direct-to-video movies made between 2005 and 2020.
Jim Levenstein (Jason Biggs) seeks to form a connection with his schoolmate Nadia during the first film in the original series (Shannon Elizabeth). In the third film, Jim and Michelle are planning to marry, but Stifler’s forced invitation might derail their plans. The group reunites in the fourth film in preparation for their thirteenth high school reunion. Stifler’s family, including his brother Matt (Tad Hilgenbrink), cousins Erik (John White), Dwight (Steve Talley), Scott (John Patrick Jordan), Stephanie (Lizze Broadway), and their various pals, are the focus of the spin-off series.
The original series, which cost US$145 million to make, has grossed over a billion dollars globally. Direct-to-video releases were made for the spin-off films. Jim Levenstein as well as his pals Kevin Myers, Paul Finch, and Chris Ostreicher strive to lose their virginity before their high school graduation inside the original American Pie (1999). Now, as adults, these longtime friends have returned home for their twelfth high school reunion to reminisce about – and be inspired by – the tumultuous teenagers they once were.
The first movie inside the series, American Pie, was released in 1999. Three sequels followed: American Pie 2, which was published on August 10, 2001, American Wedding, which was released on August 1, 2003, and American Reunion, which was released in 2012.
