Ajith’s Daredevil Starts Filming, His Second With Adhik
Ajith Kumar's Daredevil with Adhik Ravichandran is now filming, marking Shalini Ajithkumar's debut as producer and an Anirudh reunion.

Ajith Kumar has begun work on his next big-screen project. Daredevil, his second film with director Adhik Ravichandran, started filming on Monday, Filmfare reported.
The reunion arrives quickly after their 2025 action entertainer Good Bad Ugly. Adhik will direct and has written the screenplay. Story details are still under wraps, but the pairing already gives the project a built-in audience.
A producer debut in the family
Daredevil carries a personal milestone for the Ajith household. Shalini Ajithkumar is making her debut as a feature-film producer through the banner Bravehearts Production.
This adds a new layer to the couple’s long association with Tamil cinema. Ajith has spent decades in front of the camera; now Shalini steps behind the scenes to back a major commercial entertainer.
The ensemble taking shape
The cast is building steadily. Unni Mukundan is the latest name to join, alongside Sreeleela, Prabhu, Sunil, Redin Kingsley and Parthiban. Makers have not yet revealed character details.
A cross-industry lineup is a familiar play for a big Tamil film today:
- Unni Mukundan extends his Tamil footprint after strong Malayalam visibility.
- Sreeleela adds cross-industry pull.
- Prabhu and Parthiban bring veteran weight.
- Sunil and Redin Kingsley promise comic and character moments.
Anirudh is back with Ajith
The soundtrack will be one to watch. Anirudh Ravichander has joined Daredevil, marking another chapter with Ajith after Vedalam (2015), Vivegam (2017) and Vidaamuyarchi (2025).
Behind the camera, Abinandhan Ramanujam is handling cinematography, Vijay Velukutty is editing, and Supreme Sundar is designing the stunts. With Adhik writing and directing, the crew points to a large-scale commercial outing.
Two Ajiths to look forward to
Daredevil is not the only item on Ajith’s slate. He is also awaiting Gladiators, a documentary built around his motorsport life. Vijay, known for Madharasapattinam, directs it, and GV Prakash Kumar is scoring the film.
The documentary’s release date is still unannounced. For fans, the next few months offer two sides of Ajith: the action star returning to sets and the racer whose passion gets the spotlight.
