Abhishek Bachchan is back with a bang to thrill viewers with his next film Dasvi, surprising fans once again. Abhishek released a teaser for the film on Monday, introducing his character Ganga Ram Chaudhary, who is now incarcerated and has decided to take his 10th grade board examinations from within the prison walls. Along with Abhishek, Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur feature in Dasvi. Abhishek also mentioned that the film will be available on Jio Cinema and Netflix when he shared the teaser.
Abhishek stated on his Twitter account, “From one student to another, Dasvi ke exams ke liye dher saari best wishes!#Dasvi streaming from 7th April on @JioCinema & @NetflixIndia.” In the video, Abhishek is seen sending out a warning to all his fellow jail mates to not make too much noise as he is starting his prep for 10th board exams. The actor could be seen clad in a kurta and pyjama. Along with it, he shared a poster with a tagline ‘Jail Se Dasvi Karna is my right to education.”
Abhishek Bachchan sat on a throne wearing a pagdi and kurta pyjamas on the first poster for the film. In addition to Abhishek, Yami will play an IPS officer in the film, and Nimrat will play a politician. When the film was first announced, their posters were revealed.
Dasvi is produced by Jio Studios and directed by Tushar Jalota and is backed by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan. From April 7, 2022, it will be available on Jio Cinema and Netflix as a director OTT release.
