As we previously reported in 2019, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan collaborated on two movies with vaguely similar storylines, despite the end products being as dissimilar as chalk and cheese. Salman and Aamir first collaborated together in 2016 on wrestling as well as a Haryana-based drama, Sultan and Dangal, accordingly. Salman Khan’s Bharat (2019) as well as Aamir Khan’s upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha, are the second and third times this is what has happened.
During 1947 until 2010, Bharat was indeed the narrative of such a man’s journey. This film is an official remake of Tom Hanks’ classic Forrest Gump (1994), has now been shown to be on the same track.
According to a source inside a Hindi daily, the tale of the movie commences in 1968, so when the protagonist is a youngster and finishes in 2018. The narrative includes key occurrences from India’s post-independence history, such as the Emergency, the 1983 Cricket World Cup, Operation Blue Star, the Rath Yatra, and the 1999 Kargil War, among others.
Shah Rukh Khan also makes an appearance. According to rumours, Laal Singh Chaddha is seen talking with both the younger Shah Rukh in one of the movie’s most memorable episodes.
According to a trade specialist, “It’s an interesting idea and by showing the bygone era, the film will also appeal to the older generation and the old-timers. Aamir Khan is known for being the box office king. Laal Singh Chaddha has the potential to be yet another grosser if these details are anything to go through.”
Aamir Khan Productions as well as Viacom18 Studios are collaborating on Laal Singh Chaddha, which is helmed by Advait Chandan, who previously directed Secret Superstar (2017). On February 11, 2022, this will be released.
