Television actor Karan Mehta who is known for portraying the role of Naitik in the tv show, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, was arrested in Mumbai. The police have registered a case against the actor after there was a fight between the couple on Monday night. After wife Nisha complaint, a case of domestic violence was registered against Karan Mehta who was picked up from the house. Karan Mehta is currently at the police station and is yet to make a statement. There have been rumours of troubles in their married life.
ANI states that, Actor Karan Mehra arrested after his wife & actor Nisha Rawal filed a complaint in Goregaon area last night. Rawal filed a complaint against Mehra following a brawl. A case has been registered: Mumbai Police.
As per the recent reports, News agency ANI had tweeted, Actor Karan Mehra has been given bail by police.
‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Karan Mehra opened up on his alleged troubled marriage with Nisha. Karan had been in Punjab for his acting projects shared how the last two weeks had been very tiring and stressful for him. He had returned to Mumbai last month after a few people on the sets tested positive. Adding to the same, the year had also been disturbing for him as he had lost a lot of his family members, close friends, due to covid-19.
Talking about the divorce rumours, Karan had opened up, “I have no clue what led to these rumours all of a sudden. I saw this news today only and I have been getting calls from everywhere. When Nisha got the news, she had also cleared it. Even after that, I don’t know how these rumours started spreading.”
Karan Mehta is currently in Goregaon Police station and is yet to give his statement. He is booked under domestic violence charges.
