Taapsee Pannu’s Blurr and Riteish Deshmukh’s Marathi film Adrushya are based on the Spanish film Julia’s Eyes

As last week Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu announced her own production house and she revealed her first project as a producer in which she will be playing the lead. Read below to know more about it.

Actress Taapsee Pannu has already completed her 10 years working in the entertainment industry, she surprised her fans by announcing her own production house ‘Outsiders Films’ that will welcome and provide a platform to showcase their passion related to movies. Taapsee also announced her first film project as a producer and actor as well, the film is titled ‘Blurr’. The poster of this Ajay Bahl-directed thriller film was also unveiled and it generated excitement among the fans. Soon it was made clear that, it’s an official remake of the 2010 Spanish film Julia’s Eyes, directed by Guillem Morales and written by him and Oriol Paulo.

Today, on 20th July, Tuesday morning an announcement was made that Ritiesh Deshmukh will feature in a pivotal role in a Marathi film, titled Adrushya. Apart from Ritiesh, the film also stars Manjari Fadnnis (who is Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na movie fame) and Pushkar Jog and is directed by Kabir Lal.

As per reports, Adrushya film is also an adaptation of the Spanish film Julia’s Eyes. This is not the end as director Kabir Lal is will also be remaking this film in Bengali, Tamil and Telugu as well. 

Julia’s Eyes is the story of a woman who is slowly losing her sight whilst trying to investigate the mysterious death of her twin sister.  With its 5 remakes being made in 5 different languages, it remains to be seen which film would be out first. Rituparna Sengupta said in a recent interview that Antardrishti would release first. Whether that happens or whether Blurr or some other remake manages to make it to cinemas first remains to be seen.
