On Friday, the Narcostics Control Bureau arrested Siddharth Pithani accused in drug case. He was held by the agency in Hyderabad and had been bought to Mumbai. And now, a special NDPS granted interim bail to Pithani for his wedding scheduled on June 26.
Sidharth had informed the court that he is getting married on June 26. However, he withdrew his bail application and pleaded for interim bail for his marriage. He was granted an interim plea by special judge V V Vidwans still July 2.
Sushant Singh’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani was the one who was present in the residence of the actor where he was found dead hanging from the ceiling fan on June 14 last year. Sidharth had been questioned several times by the Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau of Investigation, which are probing the case registered by Bihar Police, on Sushant’s father KK Singh’s complaint, against Rhea Chakraborty. The source revealed, Sidharth Pithani was arrested on May 26 by NCB. This was after the agency got his phone dump from CBI.
On 5th March, NCB filed a charge sheet which had several accused named including Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. It had statements of 200 witnesses and was complied after 6 months of investigation. There were also some names from Bollywood like Deepika Padukone, Rahul Preet Singh, and Sara Ali Khan during their probe.
Narcostics Control Bureau began probing the alleged use of drugs in Bollywood after the actor’s death in June. The central agency also stated about the Whatsapp chats having reference to drugs. Earlier, the NCB had arrested Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and brother Showik, some staff members of Sushant and a few others under various sections of the Narcostic Drugs and Psychotropic Sustances Act.
