Salman Khan’s legal woes appear to never stop. The actor’s name is involved in yet another legal matter in the midst of the ongoing Panvel farmhouse and blackbuck case. Salman Khan was called by the Andheri Magistrate court today, April 5th, in connection with a journalist phone snatching incident that occurred in 2019.
The actor went to the Bombay High Court to contest the summons that was issued to him since he was supposed to appear at the Metropolitan Magistrate court in Andheri, Mumbai. Salman and his bodyguard Nawaz Shaikh have been summoned in connection with a journalist’s allegation filed in 2019.
Salman Khan was riding his bike through the streets of Mumbai when the event occurred, and he was photographed by the media. However, the actor is said to have gotten into a violent altercation with the press and stole the journalist’s phone.
According to a report in India Today, the case is being handled by the city’s DN Nagar Police Station. In addition, a police official has submitted a complaint that states, “he has reported that on the day of the incident, a dispute took place between complainant and proposed accused persons (Khan and Shaikh). The investigating officer has quoted that offences under section 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC have been made out against accused persons,” Magistrate RR Khan had noted.
The actor was then summoned by the Metropolitan Magistrate Court, prompting Salman Khan to file a case with the Bombay High Court. Salman’s plea is likely to be considered later in the day, according to reports.
