Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta celebrate 21 years of friendship, shares a heartwarming post

Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas met her long-time friend, actor Lara Dutta on Saturday and celebrated the 21 years of friendship in London. Priyanka and Lara have been friends since Miss India 2000 pageant. Lara won the Miss India title and then Miss Universe crown in 2000. While Priyanka was the first runner-up at Miss India but won the Miss World crown in the same year. The two created history as India won two big titles at the international pageant in the same year.

Taking to her Instagram space, PeeCee dropped an adorable snap featuring herself with Lara and her daughter Saira. Sharing the photo, the actress wrote a heartfelt note. She wrote, “21 years and counting.. friendships that can pick up at any given time… @larabhupathi and her most shining star. Saira you’re definitely your mum’s daughter. Adore you. So much love for these ladies. And so many memories. Also Missed you #Pradeepguha.”

Speaking about Pradeep Guha, the late producer was a mentor at the Miss India pageant for both Priyanka and Lara. After the pageant win, the divas starred together alongside Akshay Kumar in the 2003 romantic film ‘Andaaz’.

Meanwhile, on their work front, Lara Dutta was recently seen in Ranjit M Tewari’s ‘Bellbottom’ starring alongside Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, and Huma Qureshi. Priyanka Chopra Jonas, on the other hand, has an impressive project lined up in her kitty. She will be seen in much-awaited films ‘Matrix 4’ and ‘Text For You.’

Apart from that, she also has recently announced the Bollywood film ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. She is currently busy shooting for the upcoming series ‘Citadel’ in London.
