Sam Bombay, star Poonam Pandey estranged husband, was allegedly arrested in November 2021 after the actress submitted a complaint accusing him of beating her. Poonam was allegedly admitted to the hospital after filing the complaint.
The official Twitter handle of ANI had shared the statement of Mumbai Police in a tweet that read, “Actress Poonam Pandey’s husband Sam Bombay was arrested yesterday in Mumbai after the actress complained that he assaulted her. Poonam Pandey was admitted to a hospital: Mumbai Police”. Now, in the latest interview, Poonam opened up about her decision to file a complaint against Sam.
“No lady wants to go through such situations,” Poonam said in a recent interview with The Times of India. I married him, but then something awful happened.” She made it clear that it is not as ridiculous or amusing as it appears. She also stated that she is currently single and not seeking for anyone. Poonam confirmed her engagement to Sam by posting a photo on her social media platform on July 27, 2020. Poonam, on the other hand, accused him of abusing her just days after their wedding.
For the uninitiated, Poonam Pandey had already filed a complaint about Sam’s harassment. Just days after their wedding in 2020, Poonam Pandey filed a case in Goa stating that Sam had groped, bullied, and mistreated her. At the time of the event, Pandey was reportedly filming at Canacona hamlet in South Goa. After receiving the complaint, the Goa police detained Sam Bombay, but he was allegedly freed on bail the next day.
