Manushi Chhillar is set to star alongside Akshay Kumar in Prithviraj’s next flick. Miss Realm is happy to be going into the world of film, and she’s even more ecstatic now that the release date has been pushed back a week. For the uninitiated, Prithviraj was originally set to release on June 10th, but was pushed back a week.
The period drama will now be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu around the world on June 3, 2022. Manushi had this to say about it: “I was really happy when I heard that the film was getting preponed. It’s been quite the wait for the entire team of the film and when you hear that the movie is coming earlier than usual, you do feel a sense of joy because all of us have been waiting for the moment when the incredible life story of Samrat Prithviraj will be unveiled on the big screen.”
Prithviraj, a film based on the life and heroism of the valiant and strong King Prithviraj Chauhan, is Yash Raj Films’ first historical. The famous hero who fought valiantly against the cruel invader Muhammad of Ghor will be played by Akshay Kumar. As Prithviraj’s loving Princess Sanyogita, Manushi has been cast opposite Akshay.
Manushi vows that the film will be a “huge screen extravaganza,” like she did when she won the Miss World crown 17 years after Priyanka Chopra did.
She said, “It is a big screen spectacle and I’m counting down days for its release. The film was postponed twice due to the pandemic. I wish the film entertains every movie lover of the country with its bigness.”
Padma Shri Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, who directed the multi-award-winning film Pinjar and the biggest television epic Chanakya – based on the lives and times of India’s most prominent political strategist – is directing Prithviraj.
