After ex-husband, Kanye West questioned their daughter North’s usage of TikTok, SKIMS mogul Kim Kardashian is defending her parenting methods. Kanye West, her ex-husband, said the 8-year-old is using the social networking app “against his will.”
On Friday, the Donda rapper took to Instagram to address his pending divorce from Kardashian, saying that their 8-year-old daughter North had been placed on the platform “without my permission.” “SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST DIVORCE, WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY DAUGHTER IS PLACED ON TIK TOK AGAINST MY WILL?” A screenshot of North’s TikTok was captioned by West.
Hours later, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians alum responded, slamming West’s “constant attacks” on her and assuring that their daughter’s social media use is being supervised. “Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create,” Kardashian wrote on her Instagram Story. “As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision – because it brings her happiness.”
“Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all,” she continued. “From the beginning I have wanted nothing but a healthy relationship because it is what is best for our children and it saddens me that Kanye continues to make it impossible every step of the way.” “I wish to handle all matters regarding our children privately and hopefully he can finally respond to the third attorney he has had in the last year to resolve any issues amicably,” Kim ended.
North has previously been chastised by Kanye West for starting a TikTok account. Last month, the rapper addressed the situation in an interview with Hollywood Unlock’s Jason Lee, in which he discussed co-parenting with Kardashian since her divorce was finalised in February. “Without my approval, my kids aren’t going to be on TikTok,” he remarked at the time.
In November, North West and Kardashian started a combined TikTok account named @kimandnorth. Kardashian, on the other hand, claims that North has been given limits when it comes to using the social media network.
