KGF Chapter 2 will be first released in theatres only and not on OTT

As per the sources, The sequel of blockbuster KGF Chapter 2 won’t be compromised with its theatrical release. Read below to know more details.

Whatever the case may be, Kannada actor Yash’s long-awaited sequel to the global smash KGF, i.e., KGF Chapter 2, will not be released first on the OTT platform. As the release date approaches, there is no obvious or even foggy indication of when people, particularly in the North, will return to theatres.

A very close source of Yash has informed that “They are getting extremely tempting offers to break their theatre-only resolve.” KGF Chapter 2 has gotten a rich offer for a digital premiere from a big streaming platform, though the source won’t speak figures. I have it from a very credible source that the film has received a lucrative offer for a digital premiere from a major streaming platform.

The close source of Yash further says, “However there is no way Yash will let down his fans by releasing KGF 2 on the digital platform. If push comes to shove, they will release the South Indian version in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil first and the Hindi version later when audiences in North India show an inclination to return to theatres.”

It’s tough to reject down such a generous offer from a digital channel, especially since the KGF producers know that getting people into theatres for at least another year will be challenging. Yash, on the other hand, is a devoted follower of his idols. No matter how strong the temptation, Yash will not abandon his pledge to distribute the picture only in theatres.

Yash once told about KGF Chapter 2 that, “No matter how long we have to wait we will wait to release KGF 2 in theatres only. If the audience can wait, so can we.”
