Kareena Kapoor slams conspiracies over Saif’s 6 stab wounds

Kareena Kapoor Khan has rejected staged-attack theories around Saif Ali Khan's January 2025 knife assault, revealing son Jeh saw the ordeal.

Kareena Kapoor shuts down conspiracy talk over Saif's 6 stab wounds

Kareena Kapoor Khan has broken her silence on the conspiracy theories that followed the knife attack on Saif Ali Khan at their Bandra home, using the latest episode of Koffee with Karan to set the record straight. The couple returned to Karan Johar’s couch and spoke about the January 16, 2025 attack in detail.

Kareena dismissed the suggestion that the incident was staged or that the family had any role beyond surviving it. She said the logic behind those claims made no sense, because it would drag the police into the plot as well. “I don’t understand the conspiracy theories,” she said, as reported by Hindustan Times.

The night their home turned into a crime scene

Saif described it as “the worst night in the history of nights.” Kareena recalled finding him bleeding, struggling to get help and screaming on the road in her night clothes. She said she looked at Saif in the lift and told him, “Don’t do this.” While she said she was a wreck, Saif kept calm through the ordeal.

The family’s youngest child, Jeh, was present and saw what happened, Kareena shared. She said Jeh later gave Saif a plastic sword to protect him, and now thinks of Saif as “some sort of Iron Man.” It is a tender detail, but it also underlines how real the night was for the children in the house.

The injuries that no staged story can explain

The facts documented in the case are severe, which is why Kareena’s frustration matters. Saif suffered six stab wounds, including a serious injury to his thoracic spinal cord. A 2.5-inch piece of the knife had to be removed from his spine in emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital. He also had injuries to his hand and neck and was discharged five days after the attack.

  • The intruder allegedly entered the 12th-floor Bandra apartment through the fire escape on January 16, 2025.
  • Police arrested Mohammad Shariful Islam in Thane two days later.
  • He faces charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Foreigners Act and the Passport (Entry into India) Rules.

Why the staged-attack rumour is its own harm

For celebrity families, a violent home invasion is already trauma; public speculation that it was faked can make it harder to process. Kareena’s point is simple: the physical evidence, the surgery and the arrest are all on the record. The responsible move for fans is to let the court process run rather than amplify baseless theories.

If the attack has shown anything, it is how quickly a private injury becomes a public debate. The healthiest response is to treat the family’s account with the same seriousness you would want for your own.
