Juhi Chawla Trolled On Social Media With Memes For Plea Against 5G

On Friday, the Delhi High Court dismissed actor Juhi Chawla’s plea against the rollout of 5G in India. The actress has imposed a fine of Rs 20 lakh by the HC. The court stated that the complaint was ‘defective and non-maintainable.’ The high court stated, “Plaintiff Juhi Chawla circulated the link of the hearing on social media which created disruption thrice. Delhi Police shall identify the persons and take action against those who created a disruption,”

The court also ordered action against people who interrupted the virtual hearing on Wednesday by singing songs from Juhi Chawla’s film.

The complaint filed by Juhi Chawla, Veeresh Malik and Teena Vachani revealed that if the telecom industry’s plans for 5G became a reality, it would cause damage to the environment and “no person, animal, bird, insect, and plant on earth will be able to avoid exposure 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to radiation 10x to 100x times greater than what exists today”.

After the court dismissed the petition, netizens took to their social media and started slamming Juhi Chawla for filing the plea. Many shared funny memes in Twitter.

Some fans also sang songs from the actress’s film. As soon as the hearing started and the actor logged in, one started singing the song Ghoonghat ki aad se from her 1993 movie Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke.

The Delhi High Court was hearing a lawsuit filed by the actress environmentalist against the setting up of 5G wireless network in the country. Justice J R had passed the order on the plea which sought a direction to the authorities to certify to the public at large that how safe is 5G technology by humans and living beings.
