The epic Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, has apparently been postponed. Stars in the production include well-known actors Sai Pallavi and Ranbir Kapoor.
The epic Ramayana’s film version by director Nitesh Tiwari has been making headlines since the year’s commencement. The internet is buzzing with rumours about the major stars the Madhu Mantena and Namit Malhotra-backed film is set to cast. Madhu said to Pinkvilla in a previous chat that the task of telling this tale involves a great deal of labour and that they are attempting to emulate the method used by director James Cameron to create Avatar. By the summer of 2023, the project was planned to begin construction. There has reportedly been an update on the project.
ETimes reports that the project has been suspended. Ramayana has been put on indefinite hold by Nitesh Tiwari, who is presently working on the Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor-starring film Bawaal. After finishing Bawaal, he will concentrate on another project. He hasn’t made any statements about the reasons for his choice. It was anticipated that Sai Pallavi and Ranbir Kapoor will play Ram and Sita, respectively, in Nitesh Tiwari’s film. Yash, Mahesh Babu, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and other well-known actors have allegedly also been contacted for the film. The creators, however, have never formally addressed the issue.
It was also said that Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone were initially considered for the roles of Sita and Raavan, respectively. Hrithik made the decision to withdraw from the project since there was no progress being made and he had other obligations. Producers are reportedly negotiating with Yash for the part of Raavan. A source further disclosed that Yash has been meeting with the Ramayana crew and is impressed with the pre-visualization of the movie. Sai Pallavi was contacted by the producers since Deepika will be playing Draupadi under the same production company.
