‘Indian Idol 12’: Former Contestant Meiyang Chang Reacts To The Controversy, Says, ‘Little Bit Of Drama Is A Part Of Reality Shows’

Indian Idol is known as one of the most popular and entertaining singing reality show. The current season of the show has gained a lot of attention from its viewers. However, it has been making headlines for recent controversies. Legendary singer Kishore Kumar’s son Amit had appeared on the show and revealed that he did not enjoy the show. Contestants like Mohammad Danish and Shanmukhpriya were being trolled on social media for their bad performances.

Recently, Former contestant of Indian Idol Meiyang Chang also reacted to the controversy and shared that he was not aware of the current season. In a recent interview, he said, “These singers are very powerful. Our season was simple as none of us belong to the glamour world. There was no exposure on social media. At that time, work was done with great innocence”.   

We can that numerous fan clubs have opened on social media on contestants like Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal and Sayli Kamble. He further added that extra drama happens on every reality show. He further stated, “Everyone knows about reality shows, that a little drama goes on. It was very simple in our time because none of us were from the glamour world.”

Earlier, Abhijeet Sawant had slammed the makers of the show and said, ‘These days, the makers are more interested in whether the participant can polish shoes or how poor he is, rather than their talent.’

Meiyang Chang had appeared in Indian Idol 3. He had started his career from the musical reality show. Chang had studied to become a dentist from Bangalore but later on joined singing.
