Despite the slowdown in the realty sector, actors continue to buy apartments. The latest on the list is Disha Patani and Rani Mukherjee. Both these actors purchased premium apartments in a high-end project at Khar. Disha and Rani purchased the apartments from Rustomjee Group in separate deals.
The apartments are in 22-storey Rustomjee Paramount. While Rani Mukherjee has bought the apartment for 7.12 crore, Disha has purchased for Rs.5.95 crore.
Rani and Disha’s apartments measure 1,485 sq.ft and 1,118 sq.ft. respectively. Both these flats come with access to two car parking spaces. It is a premium project with high-end lifestyle amenities.
Although these deals were finalized on March 31, Disha and Rani’s teams have not responded to queries. It appears that both the actresses seized the opportunity to avail the benefit of stamp duty reduction.
With an objective of kick-starting the real estate sector and nearly 260 linked industries by encouraging housing sales, the state government had announced a reduction in stamp duty charges to 2% from 5% from September to December-end.
