Naagin actor Pearl V Puri was presented in court today for the hearing in his case. But, as per the latest report, the actor has been denied bail.
For those unaware, television actor Pearl V Puri was arrested on June 4, Friday. The actor was arrested by Mumbai police under the POCSO act after an FIR filed against him for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl. Later the actor was presented in the Vasai court on June 5, but his bail has been rejected, and then he was sent to the judicial court. The actor had applied for bail again and was presented in the same court today for the next hearing. But, as per the latest reports again, the bail has been rejected, and now the next hearing is on June 15. So now it has been a week since he is in custody.
This has turned out to be the most controversial case of the TV industry. Many celebrities have come to his defence and claiming that Pearl is innocent, but Mumbai police claim that they had proof against him.
Some of the celebrities that have come in support of Pearl V Puri includes Ekta Kapoor, Nia Sharma, Aly Goni, Surbhi Jyoti, Karishma Tanna, Divya Khosla Kumar. They have demanded justice for Pearl on social media. Divya Khosla Kumar and Ekta Kapoor have also shed light on some of the aspects of this case. Now Divya Khosla Kumar’s post on Instagram that has an audio conversation between Ekta Kapoor and Victim’s mother is going viral. In the tape, the victim’s mother can be heard saying that Pearl is innocent.
