‘Aranmanai 4’: Tamannaah Bhatia-starrer ends Tamil film industry’s dry spell, emerges as 2024’s first hit

‘Aranmanai 4’, starring pan Indian star Tamannaah Bhatia, is gearing up to make a big impact in the Tamil film industry. The film has become the first major Tamil hit of the year. It has ended the five month long dry spell in the Tamil film industry and has emerged as a box office winner with over Rs 21 crore collection worldwide. Tamannaah and Raashii, who play Selvi and Dr. Maya in this horror comedy directed by Sunder C, have been garnering praise for their performances.

The film opened to great response and showcased 40% jump on the second day with a total collection of Rs 10.50 crore in two days. The horror comedy earned ₹7.50 crore nett in India on its third day for all languages, taking the total earning of the multi-language film to ₹18.80 crore.

On the work front, Tamannaah is set to grace the silver screen as ‘ShivaShakti’ in the Telugu film ‘Odela 2’. She will also be seen in Nikkhil Advani’s Hindi film ‘Vedaa’ with John Abraham. On the OTT front, she is set to shine in Dharmatic’s web series ‘Daring Partners’. She also has an untitled OTT film, which will be directed by Neeraj Pandey.
