It’s been two years since Anil Kapoor-starrer ’Thar’ landed on OTT, and it still continues to be one of the most talked about projects by the megastar. One of the reasons why the project became the talk of the town was its shoot locations. Did you know that the film was shot in a 300-year-old village, which was built by Aurangzeb? Yes, you read that right! This trivia about the film was revealed by Kapoor himself during an interview. He also spoke about how the locations were “in sync with the mood and the story of the film”, and how the director and production designer brought the spirit of the film alive through the sets.
Kapoor, in an interview, had called ‘Thar’ a “learning experience” because he was working with a team that was not only new but also young. He said that the energy on the set was “very different” as the team’s methods were also different, which enhanced the shooting experience. As ‘Thar’ was a Netflix release, Kapoor had said that it was “liberating” to work for an OTT film as there was no box office pressure.
Currently, the cinema icon is basking in the success of ‘Animal’, ‘Fighter’ and his production venture ‘Crew’. He is gearing up for ‘Subedaar’, a Suresh Triveni directorial. Rumours are rife that the actor is set to enter the YRF Spy Universe. It is also being said that Kapoor has signed the sequel of the Ajay Devgn-starrer ‘De De Pyaar De’.
