India is facing a tremendous crisis of covid-19 cases. Several actors have come to do their bit during the worst health crisis of all time. Bollywood superstar Alia Bhatt has also taken the initiative to collaborate with the NGO Action Aid India to provide groceries and hygiene materials for underprivileged communities affected by Covid-19.
The actor took to her Instagram and shared a video where she talks about the pandemic and all its effects on people’s lives. She said, “The pandemic has had a devastating impact on employment and incomes with many struggling to even get two square meals a day. ActionAid India is working across multiple states, helping some of the poorest communities survive by providing them with essential groceries and hygiene materials. Earlier, In a video shared on Instagram, Alia Bhatt and team RRR which included Jr NTR, Ajay Devgn and Ram Charan urged people to get vaccinated and to stay safe. Alia Bhatt spoke in Telugu language. The video was about how cases have increased in the second wave of the covid-19.
Alia Bhatt also shared a another video where she shared information about organisation which are reaching out people. The actor also mentioned two organisation like Salaam Bombay Foundation and Give India on Instagram.
On the work front, Alia Bhatt will be playing the lead role in the upcoming film Gangubhai Kathaiwadi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film is based on a chapter from Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafai Queens of Mumbai. The film is about to release for a theatrical release on July 30, but the makers might go for OTT.
