Alia Bhatt And Team Are All Set To Resume The Shooting For Gangubai Kathiawadi

The number of covid-19 cases has been coming down and so several states are moving towards a normal life and have announced relaxations in lockdown. Major states have eased lockdown restrictions. Many production houses will be resuming the shoot of their next projects.

As per the recent report, Alia Bhatt will start shooting for her upcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi from next week. A source recently revealed that Alia Bhatt was to resume shooting for the film, but as there was a lockdown, the shooting had to be halted. “Alia was shooting for the film before SLB tested positive for Covid-19. Once he recovered, Alia caught the virus. She was to resume shooting after she recovered. However, as the second wave of the pandemic began, there was a fresh lockdown announced in mid-April and Gangubai Kathiawadi shoot had to be halted.”

The source added that Alia and the director had a meeting for the same. “Alia and SLB have had a meeting and have discussed the way ahead, and mostly the shooting will resume Monday-Tuesday, next week,”

Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt was supposed to release on July 30. However, it got delayed due to the pandemic. The makers are now looking at rescheduling the film’s release.

Besides Gangubai, Varun Dhawan ans Krti Sanon starring ‘Bhediya’ have also resumed the shooting on Thrusday. Varun will began filming for the remaining portions of the movie from 26 in Arunachal Pradesh. The actor and his team were shooting in Arunachal Pradesh for the film, till the lockdown was announced, later they all returned back. Varun Dhawan also shared about his experience shooting in Arunachal Pradesh, he said, “Shooting a movie during the pandemic has been extremely challenging but working under the leadership of Amar Kaushik has been one of the most exhilarating and satisfying experiences for me. Amar bhai chalo khelte hain. Was extremely lucky to shoot in a Covid-free town like Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh.”
