Salman Khan starrer movie ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ was recently release on ZEE5 pay-per-view platform ZeePlex. As per reports, Producer of the film, ‘Maidaan’ starring Ajay Devgn will not be release online. A few reports claim that the makers of Maidaan are contemplating for an OTT release of the film.
On Thursday, a statement was been shared that the producer of the film Maidaan calrified that they are not in conversation with any digital streaming. “We would like to share that there is currently no conversation with any streaming platform for pay per view release of #Maidaan,”
The statement further reads, “Our focus, at present, is to complete the film keeping everyone’s safety in mind and in full compliance of protocols laid down by the government,”
Earlier, Ajay had revealed that working on Maidaan has been very moving and emotional for him, He said, “It is a fabulous story, director Amit Sharma has done a great job. Times have changed, storytelling has changed. There are no deliberate commercial elements added to a film today, be it a song or the romantic angle. Maidaan has been very moving and emotional journey for me,”
The shooting of the film has been currently halted due to the covid-19 pandemic. Recently, the sets of the film were also been damaged after Cyclone Tauktae. A source revealed that the stadium which housed a major part of the film’s set was been destroyed.
The movie ‘Maidaan’ features Ajay Devgn as a legendary football coach as Syed Abdul Rahim. Maidaan is a biographical sports drama on the life of the coach. The film represents the golden years of Indian football. The movie is been produced by Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta and Akash ChawlaIt The movie also features Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh. It is set to be released on August 13, 2021.
