Woody Harrelson is indeed an actor as well as a dramatist from the United States. He has received several awards, along with a Primetime Emmy Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards, as well as three Academy Award nominations and four Golden Globe nominations.
From a total of five nominations, Harrelson won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor inside a Comedy Series for his performance as bartender Woody Boyd upon that NBC comedy Cheers. In Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, he portrays Marvel Comics character Cletus Kasady/Carnage, first debuting in the mid-credits sequence of Venom and then featuring in Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
For his work as Marty Hart inside the crime anthology series True Detective, Harrelson was nominated for such a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (2014),
For his role in that NBC comedy Cheers, Harrelson is well-known. He portrayed Coach’s replacement, bartender Woody Boyd. He landed a role in season four in 1985 and stayed for the final eight seasons. Harrelson was nominated for five Emmy Awards for this performance, winning one in 1989. Woody Boyd, the character he played, seems to be from Hanover, Indiana, where Harrelson went to college. In 1999, Harrelson appeared as Woody Boyd in the hit Cheers spin-off Frasier, in which he repeated his role. For such a role, he was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor inside a Comedy Series. He played Nathan, Grace’s new boyfriend, in numerous episodes of Will & Grace in 2001.
