Who is the most searched artist on Google?

On Dec. 8, Google released their 2021 Year in the Search list, with Travis Scott topping the list of top trending searches for musicians in the United States. Meanwhile, “drivers licence,” Olivia Rodrigo’s Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 smash, is the top trending music search.

Google’s top trends show queries that had a significant increase in traffic over time in 2021 compared to 2020. Behind Kyle Rittenhouse, Tiger Woods, as well as Alec Baldwin, the Houston rapper is ranked No. 4 upon that top trending searches for persons.

Considering his terrible hometown Astroworld Festival in November, which left hundreds wounded and ten people dead, Scott’s name has been in news for the last two months. Morgan Wallen, another troubled musician, is ranked No. 2 on the top trending searches for artists. The country singer’s name was trending earlier this year after a video of him using the N-word went viral on the internet, causing an industry-wide backlash. Apart from Scott, Wallen is also the only musician among the top trending individuals, at No. 7.

Adele, The Weeknd, Dr Dre, Rodrigo, Marilyn Manson, Daft Punk, Bobby Shmurda, as well as Lil Nas X are the other eight top trending musicians who fill up the top ten.

Seven Hot 100 chart-toppers are highlighted in Google’s top trending searches for songs, including from 2008 (Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face”) and another from 2012 that was re-released in 2021 and finally became the longest song to achieve No. 1 (Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well”).

The top trending songs of each year, headed by Rodrigo’s eight-week No. 1 breakout smash, are as follows, in order: Swift’s “All Too Well,” Rodrigo’s “good 4 u,” Adele’s “Easy on Me,” Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP,” Gaga’s “Poker Face,” Walker Hayes’ “Fancy Like,” Lil Nas X’s “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” and Rodrigo’s “deja vu” (which has been named No. 2 on Billboard’s greatest.

After she asked for divorce earlier last year and now left fans scratching their heads when Kardashian started wearing a wedding gown to Ye’s third listening event for his Grammy-nominated album Donda in August, the artist formerly known as Kanye West as well as Kim Kardashian has climbed to the forefront of the top trending searches for celebrity duos.

Swift as well as her famous ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal were smack inside the midst of the top 10 trending A-list duos, which coincided well with the re-release of “All Too Well.” Jennifer Lopez appears twice upon that list, once with former fiancé Alex Rodriguez (at No. 6) and again with current rekindled boyfriend Ben Affleck (at No. 7).
