Robin Williams had been an actor and comedian from the United States. He is considered as among the finest comedians of all time for his improvisational ability as well as the huge variety of characters he developed on the spur of the moment and played on movies, in dramas as well as comedies alike.

Williams started stand-up comedy inside the mid-1970s in San Francisco and Los Angeles, as well as the rose to popularity as the extraterrestrial Mork inside the ABC sitcom Mork & Mindy (1978–1982).

He starred in numerous critically as well as commercially successful movies after his first leading role in Popeye (1980), along With the World According to Garp (1982), Moscow on the Hudson (1984), and Good Morning, Vietnam (1987).

Williams committed suicide on August 11, 2014, at the age of 63, at his house in Paradise Cay, California, following living with undiagnosed Lewy body disease.

In 1976, Williams started doing stand-up comedy inside the San Francisco Bay Area. He made his debut there at Holy City Zoo, a San Francisco comedy club, in which he made his way up from bartending. According to critic Gerald Nachman, San Francisco was indeed a hub for a rock music revival, hippies, narcotics, as well as a sexual revolution within the 1960s, and Williams helped propel its “comedy renaissance” inside the late 1970s. 6 During that era, Williams claims he learned about “drugs and happiness,” as well as he witnessed “the brightest minds of my time reduced to mud.”

Williams relocated to Los Angeles, where he consistently performed stand-up at venues such as The Comedy Store.
