Cuba Gooding Jr. is indeed an actor from the United States. He went on to star in A Few Good Men (1992), The Tuskegee Airmen (1995), Outbreak (1995), and Jerry Maguire, for which he earned an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Later, he was known for his appearances as Carl Brashear in Men of Honor and Doris Miller in Michael Bay’s WWII epic Pearl Harbor. Other movies in which he played civil rights attorney Fred Gray include As Good as It Gets (1997), What Dreams May Come (1998), Rat Race (2001), The Fighting Temptations, American Gangster, Lee Daniels’ The Butler (2013), and Selma (2014). In 2016, he co-starred inside the sixth season of the FX anthology series American Horror Story, dubbed Roanoke, as O. J. Simpson in the FX drama series The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story.
Gooding’s first gig as such an artist would be as a breakdancer during the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles when he performed alongside singer Lionel Richie there at closing ceremonies. Gooding studied Japanese martial arts for three years after high school before deciding to pursue acting. Early in his career, he appeared in guest parts on series such as Hill Street Blues (1987), Amen (1988), and MacGyver, as well as a brief role in the hit comedy Coming to America (1988). Gooding made his big-screen debut in John Singleton’s inner-city criminal film Boyz n the Hood, in which he portrayed Tre Styles, the main character.
On June 13, 2019, Gooding was arrested in New York City on accusations of misdemeanour forced touching and third-degree sexual abuse in connection with an incident in which he reportedly touched a woman at a pub in Times Square.
Gooding Jr. has indeed been charged with misdemeanour charges of forceful touching as well as third-degree sexual abuse in three separate occurrences. He has entered a not guilty plea. The trial date for Gooding has been scheduled for February 1, 2022.
A lawsuit was filed on August 19, 2020, charging Gooding of rapping a lady twice inside a New York hotel room in 2013.
