Hollywood Park

Hollywood Park, subsequently renamed Betfair Hollywood Park, was indeed a thoroughbred racetrack in Inglewood, California, approximately 3 miles (5 kilometres) from Los Angeles International Airport and in front of the Forum indoor arena. The racecourse complex was expanded in 1994 with the addition of Hollywood Park Casino, which included a poker card room. Horse racing, as well as training, ceased in December 2013, but casino activities remained till October 2016, when a new state-of-the-art casino complex opened.

The track was dismantled in phases from 2014 to 2016, as well as the land is now home to it, a planned residential neighbourhood named just after the former racetrack.

SoFi Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Rams as well as Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL), Youtube Theater, a 6,000-seat performance arts venue, this same Hollywood Park Casino, as well as the NFL Los Angeles building, that also houses the NFL Network, NFL RedZone, NFL.com, and also the NFL app, are the most visible parts of both the advancement.

The Hollywood Turf Club opened the track on June 10, 1938, and it was created by famed racetrack architect Arthur Froehlich. The Warner Bros. movie studio’s Jack L. Warner served as its chairman. One of the most prominent stockholders was Jack Warner’s brother, who was also a Warner Bros. employee.

Harry Warner, Jack Warner’s brother as well as another Warner Bros. executive, Walt Disney, Samuel Goldwyn, Darryl Zanuck, Al Jolson, Bing Crosby, Joan Blondell, George Jessel, Ronald Colman, among Ralph Bellamy were among the notable stockholders. Raoul Walsh as well as Mervyn LeRoy, in addition to becoming stockholders, too were founding presidents of a track’s Board of Directors, alongside Jack and Harry Warner and Al Jolson.

The Hollywood Park Racing Association as well as Betfair US, a Los Angeles-based affiliate of Betfair which also operates TVG Network, signed a historic deal on March 13, 2012, which aims to improve the spectator experience there at the facility, as well as online and then on television. In what would be the first sponsorship deal arrangement for just a horse racing track within the United States, Hollywood Park got rebranded “Betfair Hollywood Park” underneath the relation to the five pact.

These would be the graded values races that took place at it. After Hollywood Park closed, the majority of the events got transferred to Santa Anita Park, Los Alamitos Race Course, as well as Del Mar Racetrack.
