How is Bollywood affecting youth?

Bollywood

Bollywood has been among the most powerful and unique characteristics of Indian culture for over a century. Through the medium of the script, Indian cinema is among the most important and powerful vehicles for addressing many societal concerns. In terms of the number of films produced, it’s really the world’s largest movie business, but not in terms of financial returns.

The Indian movie industry produces around 1,000 films every year just to please the 14 million Indians who would go to the movies every day. Cinema has become a significant medium for such conveyance of social ideas and situations from its beginning in 1913, while also serving as a popular form of entertainment. It’s sometimes difficult to tell if movies shape society or society shapes the movies.

Bollywood, on the other hand, is not a content-driven industry. From mythology to comedy to thrillers and horror, Indian cinema has experimented with a variety of genres in order to develop a successful formula that appeals to people and generates revenue. In recent years, Indian film has made significant strides toward showcasing social and responsible cinema, rather than limiting itself to being a source of just amusement. Bollywood is able to interact with a wide range of audiences in both India and other nations because of its diversified issues.

Cinema has evolved and left a deep impression on people’s minds over time, and cinema has now become a vital part of people’s lives via the varied facets of film, documentary, and advertising. Not only do they feel linked to the movies as well as the actors that appear in them, however, movies have also evolved into a psychological stimulant that really can inspire, direct, motivate, govern the mind, and even deceive individuals.

The cinema is a powerful kind of entertainment that has the ability to captivate audiences. The Youth are the group of individuals that are the most impacted and influenced by it. Bollywood has a great impact on the Indian young, not only because of the movie scenes but also because of the profound influence of the movie performers and actresses on their lives. Youth make up 32% of the population, and more than 15% of them have access to the media.

Bollywood is indeed a multibillion-dollar film business that generates a diverse range of films. Exceptional films such as Rang De Basanti, 3 Idiots, Iqbaal, Chak De India, Dangal, Mary Com, and others have greatly inspired the young to make positive changes in their life. These kinds of films are fascinating and educational, but since they are not profitable, they are made by a small number of studios, and therefore we see fewer of them. They are overshadowed by substandard films due to their lack of entertainment value.
