For what India is famous for?

India is a place that so many people are visiting each year, and everybody is amazed by the country just at the conclusion of their journey. There are multiple reasons why India is renowned; they have wonderful cuisine, sites, festivals, and so much more. Because it’s hard to discuss everything, we’ve compiled a list of the top 20 things India is famous for:

Agra, Jaipur, Varanasi, Kerala… Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Varanasi, Kerala… All of these are among India’s many renowned tourist destinations. One of the main reasons for India’s fame is its massive monuments, national parks, and mountainous terrain.

The Taj Mahal should be the top item on any “What is India famed for?” list. It’s indeed not just one of the world’s seven wonders, as well as an incredible destination that attracts over 8 million visitors each year.

Inside the city of Agra, the Taj Mahal is a mausoleum. It has been a World Heritage site since 1983, and so it serves as just a symbol for the whole country of India.

This week, we’ll go over to India’s capital to visit the Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Qutub Minar in India is known for having one of its world’s tallest minarets, as well as the world’s tallest brick-built minaret.

Despite the fact that the Qutub Minar has been replaced several times during its history, the most recent version was built in 1369 and was renovated a few times after that.

We had the opportunity to view it last year, and although being a little out of the way from the heart of Delhi, it was well worth the trip.

The Ganges River in India, commonly known as “The Ganga” in Hindi, is revered as Hinduism’s sacred river. Surprisingly, the river’s length is just 2500km (1560 miles), far less than many other lesser-known Asian rivers, so…why is it one of India’s most renowned things?

Apart from that, the Ganges River is revered as a sacred river, and Hindus and Buddhists visit there to purify themselves, believing that washing in the river can absolve them of their sins. It’s an incredible sight to behold.

Because India is such a large nation with a variety of temperatures, plants, and culinary styles, the food will vary greatly from one region to the next.

Following that, we’ll provide some fascinating facts regarding Indian cuisine that you should know before sampling any of their dishes:

If you prefer spicy cuisine, you’ll love it in India, where there are numerous hot dishes to choose from, and even tea may be spicy! We suggest the Phaal Curry, which is cooked with Bhut Jolokia (Known for being the hottest chillies in the world)

But at the other hand, if you aren’t a huge fan…

So, best of luck! The good news is that they often balance their dishes; for example, if they’re eating spicy food, they’ll combine it with sweet sauces to dilute the intensity of the flavour.

If you’re attempting to become a vegetarian, we recommend visiting India and not eating any meat while you’re there; we nearly promise you won’t miss it.

That’s just what occurred to this in Gujarat (India’s state with the most vegetarians), where there are so many varied dishes to choose from that we didn’t feel such a need to consume meat.

To give you an idea, it is estimated that far more than 20% of India’s population is vegetarian.

In India, spices are among the most popular items. As soon as it enters the nation and begins strolling around some of its marketplaces, you will understand why India is renowned as the “lord of spices” based on the fragrance of the streets.

Many of them are indigenous to the nation, while others were introduced and are now farmed here.
