Dia Mirza Calls for Media Apology to Rhea Chakraborty After CBI Clears Her in Sushant Singh Rajput Case

Actor Dia Mirza has urged the media to apologise to Rhea Chakraborty and her family for the distress and trauma they endured after being accused in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Following the CBI’s closure report, which declared Rhea not guilty, Dia took to social media to question whether the media had the courage to own up to their mistakes.

Rhea was arrested in 2020 and spent time in jail after facing accusations of abetment to suicide and drug-related charges in connection with Sushant’s passing. However, the CBI’s final findings dismissed all claims of foul play, clearing her of any wrongdoing.

Her statement has reignited the conversation around media accountability and the impact of trial by media in high-profile cases. While Rhea has slowly resumed her professional life, the debate on the ethics of media reporting in sensitive cases continues.
