Newcomers Rintu Thomas and Sushmit Ghosh directed the film Writing With Fire. The film follows the journey of Khabar Lahariya, India’s only Dalit women-run newspaper.

The film follows a group of ambitious Dalit women lead by Meera, their top reporter, as they transition from print to digital in order to keep current with changing times.

Ascension, Attica, Flee, and Summer of Soul are among the other candidates in the category (Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised).
