The trailer launch of Kajol’s upcoming horror film Maa wasn’t just about the movie—it turned into a headline-worthy event thanks to husband Ajay Devgn’s candid revelations.
Addressing Deepika Padukone’s exit from Spirit and her fallout with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Ajay emphasized the need for work-life balance. “An 8-hour workday isn’t just fair—it’s necessary, especially for working mothers,” he said.
On casting Kajol in the lead role, Ajay quipped, “It started at home. Who better than my wife for a horror role?” Kajol chimed in with a laugh, “Is that a compliment or what?”
As for their daughter Nysa’s much-speculated Bollywood debut? “She’s not interested—at least not yet,” Ajay clarified, putting rumors to rest.
Maa, directed by Vishal Furia, is all set to release on June 27, 2025, with an ensemble cast including Indraneil Sengupta and Jitin Gulati. But it was the Devgns’ no-filter honesty that stole the show at the trailer event.
