According to Life & Style, Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn are engaged after more than five years together. The “All Too Well” singer, 32, and the English actor, 30, sparked engagement rumours in mid-January after a passionate three-day holiday to Cornwall.
Taylor and Joe’s relationship, on the other hand, has stayed mostly concealed from the public eye since they met in October 2016. While the couple is occasionally seen together, they manage to keep their personal lives hidden from the public eye. “I’m aware people want to know about that side of things. I think we have been successfully very private, and that has now sunk in for people … but I really prefer to talk about work,” the Mary Queen of Scots actor said during an interview with British Vogue in 2018. However, Taylor has lately spoken out about her connection with Joe, notably how they bond via music.
After winning Album of the Year at the 2021 Grammy Awards, the “Partner” singer offered a sweet shout-out to her lover. Taylor gushed, “Joe, who is the first person I sing every single song I compose,” adding that she had “so much joy composing songs in quarantine” with him.
The engagement news comes after it was revealed that Taylor Swift has been spending time with her boyfriend, actor Joe Alwyn, in the days after the success of her recently released album, Red (Taylor’s version).
