Actor and producer Neha Dhupia along with her husband, actor Angad Bedi, marked a once-in-a-lifetime sporting moment as they attended the Australian Open for the very first time. The couple was among a select guest list invited to witness the tournament’s final match, a historic face-off between tennis legends Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz.
Notably, Neha and Angad were the only Indian actors to be invited to experience this iconic Grand Slam finale live from Melbourne, making the moment even more special.
For Neha Dhupia, the experience was deeply personal and emotional. Speaking about the occasion, she shared, “Watching the Australian Open live has always been a dream. To finally be here, and that too for a match as historic and electrifying as Novak versus Carlos, feels surreal. Watching three heroes the same night was truly a moment I won’t forget. The energy in the stadium, the discipline, the passion, its sport at its absolute peak. I’ve admired tennis from afar for years, but this experience has completely redefined what live sport means to me. This was a historical match regardless because Novak would have the oldest winner and Carlos would have been the youngest and it was great to witness all this in the making in real time”.
She further added that witnessing two generations of tennis excellence battle it out on one of the world’s biggest sporting stages was both inspiring and humbling.
