Mumbai, 10th April 2026: The philanthropic arm of Yash Raj Films, Yash Chopra Foundation (YCF), today announced the YCF Scholarship Program 2026, marking the second year of the initiative and continuing its commitment to supporting the higher education aspirations of children from Hindi film industry families.
The scholarship program is aimed at children of registered Hindi film industry workers and YCF Saathi members, many of whom play a vital role in the film industry’s ecosystem. YCF will be providing financial assistance of up to ₹5 lakh per student and empower them to chase their life goals. The initiative enables deserving students to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate education for the academic year 2026–27 across recognised institutions in India, with selection based on academic merit and financial need.
The program supports students across a wide range of professional and creative disciplines including Film Studies, Media & Communication, Animation & Visual Effects, Cinematography, Direction and Visual Arts. This year, it also introduces postgraduate courses across professional streams such as Engineering, Medical & Paramedical Sciences, Business & Management, Law, and Information Technology. The scholarship will cover tuition fees for eligible courses and is applicable across NAAC-accredited, AICTE-approved, or government-recognised institutions across India, helping reduce financial barriers and enabling access to higher education opportunities.

The book was launched by legendary filmmaker Subhash Ghai, in the presence of celebrated singer Sukhwinder Singh and world-famous percussionist Sivamani.

Born into a humble family rooted in creativity and spirituality, Naveen Kumar credited his late parents for shaping his artistic sensibilities. “I feel blessed to have inherited their artistic spirit,” he shared emotionally. He also expressed gratitude to his wife Kiran and children, Rahael Naveena and Jean Naveen, for being his constant support system.
The evening also acknowledged the contribution of Smt. Usha Srinivasan Shahane, a distinguished counsellor and educator with over four decades of experience, who played a crucial role in proofreading and editing the book.
