Rakul Preet Singh fronts Wacoal India’s AW26 campaign

Rakul Preet Singh is stepping into a new kind of spotlight. The actor has been named the new brand ambassador for Japanese lingerie label Wacoal in India, and she will front the brand’s lingerie collections beginning with its Autumn/Winter 2026 campaign, “In Pursuit of Beauty”.

A campaign about finding your own version of beauty

The new campaign treats beauty as a personal, evolving idea rather than a fixed standard. Rakul features in a campaign film that moves between fashion, movement and close-ups of the collection’s craftsmanship, tying together self-expression, fit and design.

In the visual, fashion and movement sit alongside glimpses of how the pieces are made, which pushes the idea beyond a simple product shoot. The point is to make lingerie feel like part of an everyday routine rather than a separate, aspirational purchase.

For the actor, the partnership is about more than fronting a label. “I’ve always believed that the best version of you is the one you’re still working on,” Rakul said. “Wacoal approaches lingerie the same way, with so much thought and care going into every detail. When something fits you that well, you stop thinking about it and just get on with your day. I’m thrilled to be part of the Wacoal family.”

The AW26 ranges, explained

Wacoal’s Autumn/Winter 2026 collection is built around different wear needs, from everyday staples to pieces with more shaping and support. The four ranges fronted by Rakul include:

  • Iris — gel push-up lift for a defined shape.
  • Basic Mold — a smooth, moulded silhouette that sits cleanly under clothing.
  • Embrace — lace detailing for a softer, more decorative finish.
  • Cool Comfort — seamless, bonded construction with a lightweight feel.

Pooja Merani, COO of Wacoal India, described the philosophy behind the campaign as “an ongoing pursuit, expressed through the harmony of thoughtful design, refined craftsmanship and exceptional fit.”

Why this matters for Bollywood-fashion watchers

Celebrity faces have become a key part of how innerwear and lingerie brands speak to Indian shoppers. A familiar actor can make conversations around fit, comfort and everyday styling feel more accessible. The announcement also matters because Indian actors are increasingly anchoring international fashion and lifestyle labels, a shift from campaigns once fronted only by models.

For Wacoal, the casting is a bet on an actor who can carry polish and relatability at the same time. For Rakul, the assignment adds another global label to an already busy portfolio of fashion and lifestyle endorsements, placing her at the centre of a Japanese label’s India-facing story.

Beyond the glamour, the collection signals a practical shift too: by naming the ranges by function, Wacoal helps shoppers zero in on what they actually need, whether that is lift, invisibility under clothes, lace or breathability.

The timing also works in the brand’s favour. An Autumn/Winter campaign built on smooth, support-led silhouettes lands when shoppers are rethinking their wardrobes, giving Wacoal a reason to be part of that conversation.

The Wacoal Autumn/Winter 2026 collection is available now through the brand’s official India website and at Wacoal stores across the country.
